London Tone Music’s latest artist signing, Rikk Beatty, is a true master of the guitar. His instrumental song, Endless Summer, released as part of the 52x52 label launch, showcases his great skill, passion and power and makes it abundantly clear why so many musicians want to play with him and why so many major music companies seek him out to endorse their product.
When asked to describe the story and feelings behind his anthemic rock instrumental, Endless Summer, Rikk said, “it was inspired by the feeling of driving on a beautiful day with the top down, baseball games with my son, family and friends,” adding, “in the end, all we have are our memories and experiences. As long as I think of them, summer will be endless.”
Born in OIympia, Washington in 1975, Rikk was introduced to the guitar at the age of 13, by his friend, Nick Thipsingh. He was hooked. A couple of years learning on his own, a few years of lessons and he was on his way. He started playing clubs at 15 and never looked back. Rikk’s experimented with all styles of music and he’s an engaging and unforgettable live performer. He’s released ten CDs, varying the genres depending on what he feels like playing. He has lots of rock, blues and funk, but he’s also released a Holiday album and another that explores acoustic and ambient styles.
Rikk and his band have toured the country many times over and shared the stage with famous national acts, including, Cheap Trick, April Wine, Dio and Great White. For many years, Rikk toured the world doing guitar clinics and product sales training for the top music instrument manufacturers in the world.
His music has also been a perennial favorite on the Peavey-sponsored playlist on the heavily trafficked Broadjam.com website, reaching #1 on more than one occasion.
“I think that the opportunities and the ability to connect with people all over the world through music is what keeps me constantly pushing forward to see what will happen next,” Rick reflects, ”plus, I just don't know what I would do if I couldn't express myself through my guitar.”
