Céleigh Chapman grew up singing country standards in the juke joints of Bakersfield, California. Her first performance was “Home On The Range” in the third grade. Years later, after watching her at the Crystal Palace, Buck Owens gave his approval.
Her voice has been described as polished, bright, angelic, and yet at times haunting and raspy, ballsy and badass. Her ability to cover a wide spectrum of genres, while instilling songs with meaning beyond their lyrics continues to entice a wide variety of collaborators.
In 2010, Céleigh had the opportunity to collaborate with Grammy Nominated Composer Austin Wintory on the song "I'm Lucky" which was not only featured in the film "A Little Help," but was also included on the film's soundtrack, alongside major artists, including Jakob Dylan. "I'm Lucky" was recognized by the Hollywood Music and Media Awards with a nomination for Best Original Song in a Film.
It’s been over 10 years since Céleigh has had a solo record, as she was focused on finishing college, playing with her band COYOL, and songwriting with a talented group of collaborators on a variety of projects. In March 2014, she self-released a solo EP entitled "Happy Now" which was featured on the iTunes "New and Noteworthy" section, as well as Myspace's homepage as one of only a handful of featured New Releases.
Her first single for London Tone Music is called, "Victoria”, and is produced by Crown City/London Bridge Studio's Eric Lilavois. Céleigh's collaboration with Eric resulted in a stunningly beautiful song, highlighting Céleigh's pure and sincere vocals, rooted in traditional country, layered with contemporary folk and a foundation of exquisitely played acoustic instruments.
